100 Day Party at Academic Gardens

Ms. Brandi, Minnie's Begindergarten teacher, shared some photos of the kids on the 100 Day Party. The 100 Day party is a yearly celebration where students celebrate the 100 days of class. :O) Each student brings in 100 little treats (i.e. goldfish crackers, pretzerls, etc.) to add to a big chex mix type of dish. As you can see, Minnie and the kids had a lot of fun and enjoyed a good snack!

Visiting the Mall

We went to 12 Oaks Mall to look for running shoes and to spend our time somewhere WARM. It's been pretty darn cold in the Great Lakes and New England area. No luck on the shoes - Looks like we have to buy them online!

Post Valentine's Day (02.15.2006)

For Valentine's Day, we decided we were going to make a pizza. It was really fun making the pizza dough from scratch. When the dough was rising, we took the kids to the store to pick out their toppings which ended up being cheese, more cheese and pepperoni. When we came back, Michael took the dough out, and the kids began to knead the dough.

Once the dough was kneaded, it was pressed into a circle shape. Sauce was added, then cheese, and finally the pepperoni. When Michael attempted to take it off and put it on the baking stone, the pizza would not come off. So, we brilliantly decided to fold it over and make a huge calzone instead. Do you know what? It was PERFECT!

BTW --- Minnie was Child of the Day today! :O)

Brownie Troop # 84: Selling Girl Scout Cookies

The family took Anita to the Holiday Market in Canton to sell cookies in their atrium. As you can tell from the photograph below, it was pretty cool. We all kept our jackets on the entire time. During our shift, Anita and her fellow Brownie, Monica, sold over 20 boxes. It was very exciting to sell more cookies and add to the troop funds. I think this experience taught the girls how to demonstrate initiative and most importantly of all: hustle!
