Our Bike Ride through Hines Park (08.13.2006)

We went on ride through Hines Drive today for about two hours. The kids did an amazing job riding on their own bikes for about three miles altogether. Along the way, we did see a Blue Heron on the water and listened to some bloke play his acoustic guitar (plugged into an amp) at an area where they launch pedal boats (not today though). There were small groups of people who were fishing here and there but no luck. We did see a little fish swim towards a little girl's fishing pole. However, she was too impatient and scared it away from stomping her feet and shouting. Ah well.

Dad played a little racing game and would cut around the kids and go up ahead. Yummer and Minnie responded like the peleton in the Tour De France and attacked the leader. Minnie himself even cut around Dad and Yummer to lead the pack. It was an awesome sight! :O)
