Our Bike Ride to The Dairy King (08.12.2006)

Today, we took Minnie's training wheels off his big bike (the one that replaced his old one from last year. He did an amazing job riding on his bike AND Yummers' bike. It was really cool. No accidents, no problems, no big deal. :O) Later on in the evening, we decided to head over to the Dairy King for a scoop of ice cream to cap a beautiful sunny and cool day / evening. Minnie rode with me on the bike trailer, and he did a great job (even peddling for me while I coasted.

When we were at the Dairy King, Dad was telling the story of the kid he saw whose ice cream scoop fell out of the cone and plopped on to the ground. We kept reminding the kids to keep their cones straight. Then, right when the last word came out of Dad's mouth, Minnie's strawberry scoop fell out on to the floor. It was funny and mortifying at the same time. An older woman said, "It was less than three seconds" implying that he should still eat it 'cos it was under the "five second rule." We ended up giving it back to Minnie to eat. As you can see below, it still tasted good!
